How to find a new family member to your satisfaction

Using our customized invitation and mutual selection process, it is easy to find a new family member to your satisfaction.

1. Free Registration and Online Training

You may register online for an account for free and activate it immediately after filling your family information and email address. Once logged in the members area, you may download a comprehensive homestay host manual and familiarise yourself with how to host students successfully, and how to use the tools in the members area. A local community leader will assist you if you have questions about homestay.

2. Background Check and Home Visit

All adult members over 18 years of age in the family must have a current Working With Children Check or police check where applicable. Our community leader will contact you to arrange home visit and confirm the homestay conditions before approving you as a homestay host.

3. Invitation and Decision

After approval, you may list your invitation through our network, introduce your family, traditions, hobbies and house rules, and customise your expectations of the student. Registered student members may search and apply. You may view the applicants' profile and communicate with them before accepting the application.

When the student arrives, we will pick up the student from the airport and send to your home, and pay the homestay fees to you regularly. A local community leader will provide ongoing support to you and the student, and will organise networking events for you and other host families to get together and know each other better.

The basic services to homestay host families are free, and will remain free. We only charge fees from students to sustain operation.
