        The importance of educational environment to youths is illustrated by the ancient Chinese idiom - the Moves of Mencius's Mother. As a widow, she moved her house several times in order to provide a beneficial evironment to Mencius. Under the positive environmental influences, Mencius finally became a well-known scholar and philosopher. One of Mencius' teaching is to treat children of others as our own, which is the guiding principle of Like Parents Homestay.

        As parents ourselves, we have taken our own children to live in a new country, and experienced the importance of parental guidance to youths in teaching them the right value and helping them to make the right decisions. From our own experience we understand your expectations and concerns, so we have tailor-made our processes to meet your needs, address your concerns and will guide your child like parents.

        While we help and encourage your child to adapt to the new home, we also believe best matches and freedom of choices. Dring the entire study in Australia, you or your child may choose homestay hosts for unlimited times for free.

Support in Chinese

        A bilingual community leader provides ongoing support to your child and homestay host family and make sure both have pleasant homestay experience. Our community leader will help your child to close gaps in expectations and adapt to the new life sooner.

        We understand your child's needs during the study, and provide help when it is most needed. Depending on your child's ability to adapt, we will provide weekly follow-up upon arrival until your child is confident in the new environment. When your child is homesick, he or she may feel much better after enjoying a familiar Chinese meal with friends.

        As a gold member, you child will be entitled to 3 free transfer services - upon arrival, departure to home, and first move to another host family for example.

Free Untimed IDD/DDD Phone Calls

        When missing home, your child may talk to you and friends for as long as he or she wishes using Like Parents Homestay's SIP phone account. During the homestay booked through Like Parents, each month your child will have

• 100 untimed free calls to the landlines of 30 countries/territories (including landline and mobile phones in China) ;
• 100 untimed free calls to landlines in Australia.

        Hosts and community leaders are familiar with Australian culture and social system, and can guide your child when in doubt. Some people may become lifetime friends and mentors.

Insurance

         We insure all homestay arranged through our network to offer a worry-free stay to both homestay host family and your child.

        Some young people feel unprecendented freedome when they are away from home without concerns for parents, relatives or friends. Without strong self-discipline, they may try new things and make unwise decisions such as addiction to games, tobacco, alcohol, drugs etc.

        Our dedicated team work closely with community leaders to find and verify loving and caring families, and save you time and risk in searching and trying out by yourself. With the parental guidance from host families, your child will have the opportunity to learn and benefit outside classroom, and develop moral values critical to future successes and happiness.
